too high, too far, too soon

I think I'm recovered from the road trip of DOOM now! From Louisiana to Atlanta and back in 22 hours, with only a few breaks for candy and caffeine. And also sushi for dinner, which was so worth the extra hour it tacked on to our trip. Oh, and we got pulled over by a cop! Which was scarier for my sister than for me (I wasn't the one going 81, thank you very much) but by dint of our tired, terrified faces and Tori Amos playing in the background, the cop let my sister off with a warning and we drove the speed limit the rest of the way home.

I am now trying to get some writing done on the fic that the_acrobat and I are collaborating on for the scars challenge on sga_flashfic and I'm getting frustrated because too much backstory! limited space! and a deadline! Oh, writing.
