Help...

My biochemistry exam is June 3.

I need to back in the States by May 27.

I am in a major panic about this.

I'm going to need to take my exam earlier, but I have the feeling that Dr. Mantle (the acting head of the biochemistry dept.) is not going to be happy about this. Hell, I don't think he'll even UNDERSTAND. You would think that I'm the only visiting student the biochemistry department has ever had by the way I confuse him. And it IS vastly important that I can be back by the 27th because that's when the LSU/HHMI program starts and I only get to work in a lab if I'm there, baby. Not to mention the $3,200 they're paying me. Arrrgh. This is not going to work, I can feel it.

Start with the Exams Office (upstairs, West Exam Hall), throw yourself on their mercy and get them to tell the dept what's going to happen. They're not as scary as they seem at first up there.

I've been hearing all sorts of threats all year about how "Visiting students MUST take exams at the EXACT same time as regular students! No ifs, ands or buts!!"

But then, Kerry had to miss an exam during the term break, and the teacher let her just write an essay for it instead...So I don't think that's set in stone or anything, they're probly just trying to scare us.

Good luck. :)
