It's All About the Food

Last night was the Arcadia farewell dinner for TCD and UCD. For those of you who don't know, Arcadia is the study abroad program that I went to Ireland on. Occasionally, they host these dinners which our tuition money already paid for, so we can just order what we want and Arcadia picks up the tab. Well, last night was the final one - and everybody ate as much as they possibly could. I had garlic mushrooms, some of Rebecca's breaded camembert and some of Brit's nachos - and that's just appetizers. For the main course I had barbecue ribs and fries and for dessert I had choclate cake and coffee, finishing the whole thing off with a chocolate milkshake. Yum. And, of course, I had lots of good conversations with the rest of the lovely Arcadia people. *grins* A very good night and it made me very happy.

However, the food epic doesn't stop there. Rebecca and I went out for lunch today. After we gave up on Cornucopia (their day's selection didn't look as good as I had been hoping), she led me to this yummy bagel place in this cool shopping-area-type-thing. The bagels were good and afterwards we walked around and looked at the shops and shared a piece of chocolate orange fudge, which tasted just like Terry's chocolate oranges. *grins* It's been a good couple of days.

Terry's chocolate oranges.

Y'know, I've never had one of those. Perhaps I should rectify this before I go home.

You should - quite aside from the yummy taste, the satisfying whack you've got to give the orange before you open it make it worth it. (Though they also have them in the States, particularly around Christmastime.) ^_~

Actually I think the lime flavored chocolate ball is my favorite... it's a Terry's rip off... they have them in like Rasberry, Orange, and Lime? Then again I think you had some of a lime one once ne? Well I for one am VERY glad you're coming home. I got a super super super cool RPG for PS2 called Hack (the first one, infection) and it's just awesome! So we'll play it together ^_^. Then we'll play the second one and hopefully they release the third one in the US soon? *Looks hopeful* OK well... I should turn in I'm still exhuasted from all the studying I did last week ^^;
