all i've ever seen you do is run

[livejournal.com profile] narie, why are you never online when I am anymore? And especially when I'm drinking? And especially especially when I've got both "Everyone Loves Jill" and "Can't Stand Me Now" stuck in my head and thinking a good title for a remix will be "Everyone Loves Carl (Except Pete)"? *whinges*

And, oh, [livejournal.com profile] aishuu, I promise I'm looking at traveling options. I'm thinking I'll take the bus - I'm working on my plans this weekend. I can come in on June 3rd right?

Anyway, I don't have much else to say. It's been a long strange week, with moving out of the apartment and all, and I suppose I should just go to bed now. I have to be at work tomorrow morning at 8 and it's already midnight. I'll see you on the flip side, y'all. Night!

[identity profile] aishuu.livejournal.com 2005-04-07 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
that works.

[identity profile] ekaterinn.livejournal.com 2005-04-07 05:34 am (UTC)(link)
Okay. I'm sorry I haven't been more proactive on this - the sheer amount of stuff I have to do before I leave is overwhelming and I'm still working full-time till the end of April. *sighs* Am very much looking forward to seeing you though!

[identity profile] aishuu.livejournal.com 2005-04-07 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
I'm lazy, too. I assumed it'd happen. I'm just trying to get some activity suggestions together so we can find fun things.

...I know this is rude, but what's your budget like?

[identity profile] ekaterinn.livejournal.com 2005-04-07 06:04 am (UTC)(link)
Heh. We can be lazy together!

My budget is a bit flexible - I still need to save some money for school in the fall, but on the other hand I'll have some cash to play around with it. I'm up for anything neat and/or different, as long as it's not horribly inexpensive. *laughs* That's not exact numbers though, I know...

[identity profile] aishuu.livejournal.com 2005-04-07 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
Sky-diving? I know a place around here which I've been meaning to go to...

[identity profile] ekaterinn.livejournal.com 2005-04-07 12:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Um, I can watch <you do it. *laughs* I feel a lot more comfortable doing new and exciting things on the ground...

[identity profile] ekaterinn.livejournal.com 2005-04-11 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
Oi, and wth regard to getting a bus near your place...I thought I saved our IM convo, but can't find it now. Plattsburg was a possiblity right? I could get a bus to there and you could come and pick me up? I don't want to get a ticket for the wrong place! *g*

[identity profile] aishuu.livejournal.com 2005-04-11 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
plattsburgh would be perfect. i don't get lost there!

[identity profile] ekaterinn.livejournal.com 2005-04-15 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
Yay! Okay, since I forget how far away Plattsburgh is from your place, would me arriving there at 9:10 AM on the 3rd and leaving at 8:25 PM on the 11th work for you? Or would a later arrival time work better?

[identity profile] aishuu.livejournal.com 2005-04-15 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
It's about 35 minutes, so if that works, cool!

[identity profile] ekaterinn.livejournal.com 2005-04-15 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
*grins* Neat, I'll buy those tickets then. And work on remembering to call you Wit. *winks*

[identity profile] narie.livejournal.com 2005-04-08 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I do not know, but I've noticed you're not around lately either! Are you getting drunker later? I'm keeping the same hours, more or less...

We should get drunk together again sometime soon, though, and talk more Pete and Carl. And you should write Pete/Carl fic. :)

[identity profile] ekaterinn.livejournal.com 2005-04-11 04:59 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmm...I'm just keeping wierder hours, I guess. So much stuff to do and so little time to do it in. *makes face*

But drunk together soon sounds good! Though, I'm not sure how drunk you need me to be for me to write Pete/Carl...

[identity profile] narie.livejournal.com 2005-04-11 01:57 pm (UTC)(link)
How's the move looking, then? And no word on the trip during May?

Also, once you start in The Libs, it's a slow downwards spiral. It's also unescapable. Nine months ago I was swearing left and right that I would never read RPS and now here I am, with 14000 words to post...

*headdesk* Those boys, they're worse than the drugs they take, in a way.

[identity profile] ekaterinn.livejournal.com 2005-04-12 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
I'm getting real good at procasination...*laughs* Oh, and about the Chicago trip...I talked to my friend and she said fall would be better. Apparently, she's in the midst of quals right now. So, no trip in May, but trio in fall - I'm thinking Columbus Day weekend, since it coincides with Canadian Thanksgiving.

And, heh, pete and carl. I'll only worry when I start dreaming about them...then maybe maybe you'll see a fic title "Everone Loves Carl (Except Pete) or very possibly "Pete Tells The Rat King To Fuck Off" (because everytime I listen to "Tell The King", I get this image of this huge rat king who is so very interested in what Pete has to say.)

*looks up at the senstence she just wrote* oh, god. this is your brain, and this is your brain on Libs.

[identity profile] narie.livejournal.com 2005-04-13 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
I tell you, those boys are totally like drugs. There's no other way of thinking about them, and once you start you really can't quit.

I have to say, though, I'd never made that connection between Tell The King and rats... But you must hear the acoustic version of it, it's awesome, and maybe less ratty? Not that I don't think you shouldn't write the one to do with rats, and now that I think about it, I can totally see Pete singing it to the rats in their squat...

As for the trip, the fall is good! I will be here in the fall, and hopefully not too caught up with work and classes; I'm doing thesis research this spring and it's going to get a bit more time-consuming as time passes. :) But yay!

[identity profile] ekaterinn.livejournal.com 2005-04-15 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
I don't really know where I got Rat King from - something to do with the Tube and Pete making a deal with the rats to make music for them? *confuses herself* I think I'm going to have to get drunk and write that soon though. *g*

And, yay, fall! (Though, boo, thesis. I did a thesis last year and it was majorly time-consuming indeed.)

[identity profile] narie.livejournal.com 2005-04-15 01:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Man, I think you just crossed over Neil Gaiman's Neverland and The Libs... And yeah, go get drunk. We need more Peter singing to rodents fic. :)

(Christ, I really am a bad influence, am I not?)

Fall will be awesome, then! Looking forward to it, definitely! (The thesis is fine now -- we'll see when I start working exclusively on it and can no longer get paid to do it and so have to add hours of research and hours of paid work and have no free time at all oh noes!)
