Hi, I'm Ekaterinn, I'm getting addicted to SGA. *g* No, really, I have half the episodes of the first season downloaded and have signed up to write in the "SGA and Smallville Challenge". I'm really enjoying the banter and the scienceness of it all. It's also suitably distracting me from looking the PhD programs for year after next. I really need to get a list of schools together and some apps and letters to profs started before I start my M.A. year and spend all my time writing or grading papers. Reading fic is just more fun, somehow. *sighs*

bejiin, I'm still waiting for your call. *g* There's also a possiblity that I might be in Atlanta later this month, for a couple of days at least.

Oh no, they claimed another one. Run now! While you still can! (In my head I've always just gone ahead and assumed that McKay and Dr. Beckett are a couple and it's just never mentioned. Recent episodes, however, have disproved this theory. To my great displeasure.)

It's too late! The glowy dead city has got me! *gurgles* (Aww. I'm more of a Sheppard/McKay fan, though I believe they broke up sometime before season two, as seen re: Duet: "We're cool?" "You're cool. I'm fine.")

Something about Beckett calls out to me. I don't really know what it is. I just can't seem to read John as even the least bit queer. Not that it wouldn't be a good thing, but... meh. I feel the same way about Jack/Daniel from SG-1, too, which puts me at odds with that entire fandom. I simply do not see it, except when it's knowingly being done to tease the J/D fans.

Hmm. I got into the show by reading fic, which is heavily McKay/Sheppard, so that's probably part of it. If it helps, I can see McKay/Beckett too. And I think John's a bit like deep, still water - I can imagine all matter of orientations lurking out there. *g*

Yeah, I started watching it when it premiered because my boyfriend really loves the original Stargate. Different perspective. One thing I've always really liked about the show is that, although there is a Stock Hot Sci-Fi Babe, she has yet to hook up with *any* of the main cast. I actually wish Teyla didn't get ignored in fic so much, because she's kinda awesome.

Now that I've said that, watch everyone start writing Weir/Teyla just to spite me. (It would be an improvement on that hideous doctor she left behind on Earth.)

Ha, Teyla/Weir is so my femslash pairing. They're both so very kick-ass in different ways.
