Happy Easter! I'm finished grading, just had some respberry yogurt, and looking forward to Easter dinner with people tonight. It's beautiful outside, all blue skies and sunshine. *smiles* And in celebration of the holiday, here's a poem:

On The Third Day

resurrection hurts
tearing through your
skin
three days down
wrapped
blood and cloth and faith

and I say
tomorrow will come
light will
clear the clouds
if you would only
be still and not still

trace your wounds
mirrored in his
do not forget to be
joyous
lifting your eyes
to the spheres, singing

Wow, My pretcher had a twenty minute sermon today and you sumed up the Easter story much better and with greater eloquence. Maybe I should start my own denomation using poetry as surmmons. I think people would like it better. 4 minutes if that long. Rather than 20 minutes and still not really a point at the end.

Four minutes to say it then twenty to explain it to the less enlightened!

Of course it helps to really understand the core of something in order to be able to summarize it and make it accessable to other people. You never really learn something until you try to explain it to someone else...

Lovely and timely. And appropriate.

My Easter had more to do with candy than Bible stories. Oh, and there was the traditional shake-and-bake Easter dinner with my parents. Not that I'm complaining. We only had to stay two and a half hours.

Functional Grandma makes me crazy.
But at least she wasn't on a 'high' swing like Joan's mom.
