Apr. 16th, 2006 12:51 pmHappy Easter! I'm finished grading, just had some respberry yogurt, and looking forward to Easter dinner with people tonight. It's beautiful outside, all blue skies and sunshine. *smiles* And in celebration of the holiday, here's a poem:
On The Third Day
resurrection hurts
tearing through your
skin
three days down
wrapped
blood and cloth and faith
and I say
tomorrow will come
light will
clear the clouds
if you would only
be still and not still
trace your wounds
mirrored in his
do not forget to be
joyous
lifting your eyes
to the spheres, singing
On The Third Day
resurrection hurts
tearing through your
skin
three days down
wrapped
blood and cloth and faith
and I say
tomorrow will come
light will
clear the clouds
if you would only
be still and not still
trace your wounds
mirrored in his
do not forget to be
joyous
lifting your eyes
to the spheres, singing

Date: 2006-04-17 09:15 pm (UTC)My Easter had more to do with candy than Bible stories. Oh, and there was the traditional shake-and-bake Easter dinner with my parents. Not that I'm complaining. We only had to stay two and a half hours.
Functional Grandma makes me crazy.
But at least she wasn't on a 'high' swing like Joan's mom.
