Feb. 26th, 2003 07:59 pmGod, it's been a long time since I updated this...and I'm only updating it right now because I'm tired and don't want to work on my essays. *sweatdrops* Although good stuff has been happening lately - like having an actual research project that involves GENETICS to work on this summer, I just feel tired.
Maybe it's do with the fact that nobody else seems to enjoy what I do. I don't just mean general things, like spending a quiet evening reading instead of going out all the time, but specific things. Like, for example, I'm going to do a presentation on T.S. Eliot for my American Lit tutorial at the start of next term, so I told the class to be sure to read The Waste Land, 'cuz that was the poem I was going to speak on the most. And they were all like, oh, we hate The Waste Land, and I had to go "Tough shit, because I like it and it's my presentation" Another example is my interest in genetics - to which people usually go "Oh, I think cloning is wrong, don't you? And I would *never* eat genetically modified food." As if genetics isn't way more complicated than that.
*Sighs* I'm just fed up with college and work in general. And I have no idea what I want to do with my life, except that I know I wanna write - and college isn't giving me enough time to do that.
