In the WTF! moment of the week, a lady in the coffeeshop asked me where I was from. This is not unusual. I said Canada, which is also not unusual, though sometimes I say New Zealand just to screw with people's minds. In response, she said, and I quote exactly: "I hear a lot about Canada when I watch Bill O'Reilly". I goggled at her, wanting to say something like "Oh, yes, we're all gay communist lumberjacks up there, m'am". But I refrained, and after a few moments of strained silence, she added "But Canada is a nice place" and walked off.

*shakes head* I'm still kinda laughing about it now.

Had a nice long talk with my mom today, and I'm feeling guardly optimistic about the future and generally kinda happy and forward-looking now, which is good. And in so in spirit of spreading happiness, here's a meme I gacked from missandrony and aishuu:
