Just a quick "hi, I'm not dead" post, complete with a rec:

Go read narie's cracked-out HP/Libertines crossover right now: Remus Lupin and the Troubadours of Albion. And yes, I did ask her for it and I did encourage the crack every step of the way. But it's wonderful and even if you have no idea who the Libertines (Sadly defunct British band, whose lead singers Peter and Carl had lot of homoerotic tension, as narie puts it) are, take a look for the perfect Remus voice, world-weary and grieving, but still able to be bemused at other people's antics:

'Well,' he begins, 'I'm a wizard, you see. I'm also a werewolf. And this is my magic wand,' he says, reaching into his pocket -- magically mended time and again to keep him from losing it, and why is the boy raptly staring and swallowing it all up like he actually believes Remus?
