It's May...
May. 2nd, 2006 07:25 pm...and my birthday is in five days! (This Sunday, the 7th.) I'll be 24, almost at the quarter-century mark. So, if you feel inclined or inspired, you know I would love fic, stories or anything, really! *smiles charmingly*
I turned in my second essay (yes, the one where they conducted secret experiments on her brain) today, and am now starting work on my third and final one. The end is in sight!

the_acrobat and Veronica, which was simply lovely, as both the weather and the company were great. (I might have been a bit grumpy though until we got food. ^^;) We had ice cream, and they bought sunglasses, and sang me a jingle, and we checked out Libido, which is an "erotic emporium for women" and very neat. They're having an introductory belly dance workshop next Friday that I may go to; it's only $25 and it'd be a nice birthday treat.
Even amidst the frenzy of paper-writing, this has been a good couple of weeks - the weather has been warm, I'm no longer feeling quite as tired, and I've gotten to hang out a lot withthe_acrobat and the other Comp Lit people like at the party Friday where there was plenty of wine, cake, and dancing. I also got to meet the_acrobat's parents, who are very sweet people. I'm looking forward to finishing this last paper, and being able to turn my attention towards my research project again as summer comes into full bloom.
