Ouch. That's pointy.

*laughs hysterically* My characters are not only mean, they're mean with knives!

On a more serious note, I've been thinking about landscapes - Daniel kinda carries his around with him: the room he shares with his brother, the niche where he and Brennan sneaked off to drink whiskey, his first sight of Garden, the beauty of Earth contrasted with the enemity he feels towards Earthers. I don't know what H thinks of his surroundings - he's usually very aware of them, ready to fight and manever at a moment's notice, but he does have this wierd tendecy to space out a bit, I think, when he's overwhelmed. Sensory overload, maybe? I want to convey the tightess of a space station and what the narrow margin for survial does to people: more independence in that it's neccesary to be self-reliat as possible but conversely more dependence on other people, your neighbors, unit members, whatever, to get you out of the dangerous situations. I think it would either make one very cautious or a huge risk-taker and I think that H is the latter - he takes *huge* risks and he's usually right, but not always. Wheareas Daniel, while he take risks too, is more self-aware and will admit that he's maybe putting himself in unreasonable danger.

*looks up* Maybe I need to babble less and write more, hm?
