Jul. 24th, 2005 01:04 pmI'm back from Canada (for a month or so at least). Been back for a while, actually, but I have been too busy decompressing and running around to post. My parents have a new house, so I'm still living out of my suitcase and sleeping in strange places. *g* I never got to say goodbye to the old one, but this place seems pretty nice and my mom is happy, so I'm not complaining. I'm starting to have dreams about grad school; classes start on September 8th. At least I know I have an apartment there! I'll have to do a big Canada post later - I need to go run errands now. But first, a couple of :
*grins* I really enjoyed this book. I think it was much better written than OotP - more tighter and less with the CAPSLOCK. *g* I thought Snape was evil at the end - of course, I wasn't convinced Dumbledore was dead until the end of the book (I'm still not convinced Sirius is dead. No body, no deady.) - but after I got online I think the theory that Dumbledore ordered Snape to kill him if he had to do is more compelling. I guess we'll have to wait and see. And unlike, almost everybody else on my flist, I was squeeing at the Remus/Tonks. *grins* It doesn't invalidate Remus/Sirius at all, since Sirius is pretty much out of the picture and I like the pairing. I also was excited with the Ron/Hermione, though a bit indifferent to Harry/Ginny - it just seemed to come out of nowhere on Harry's part.
Oh, and I also loved the bit of Remus backstory. Would've liked more, but there's always book seven, yes? Oh, and I realised a couple of days after I read the book that Remus must have gone undercover with the more feral werewolves almost immediately after losing Sirius. Poor guy, though I might make a ficlet out of his angst. *squeezes Remus tight*
