dancing in the dark
Oct. 1st, 2006 10:41 pmI had a very dull weekend, whereas I worked on fic and read scientific papers - but I am feeling more energetic now than I have been in a while, so that's good. I'm finally watching Coupling UK now that I've found a source for it and I must say I'm vastly amused by it. Anyway, I'm about to go to bed, but I found a poem I wrote that reminds me of John Sheppard, so here you go:
What I feel now
is too open, exposed,
see though my skin,
I will beg,
the blue veins under translucence.
See the way I drown,
water filling up the dry,
making me more than myself.
You're beautiful,
I will say,
I love your hands your fingertips your nails;
leaving smudges of dirt on my cheeks,
marking up the blue.
Madness spins - spin me around and around,
keep me company,
and I'll fly for you,
fly with you,
spiraling up torwards the scar
that rips open the sky.
What I feel now
is too open, exposed,
see though my skin,
I will beg,
the blue veins under translucence.
See the way I drown,
water filling up the dry,
making me more than myself.
You're beautiful,
I will say,
I love your hands your fingertips your nails;
leaving smudges of dirt on my cheeks,
marking up the blue.
Madness spins - spin me around and around,
keep me company,
and I'll fly for you,
fly with you,
spiraling up torwards the scar
that rips open the sky.
