Good Morning from Southeast Louisiana, where it is currently SNOWING!

WTF, LA. Snowing is falling, and it's STICKING? And has been for two hours already. I feel like I'm back in Ontario! Except not, because we have a SNOW DAY. (The joys of being a schoolteacher.) Welcome to Louisiana, where we have two weeks of hurricane days and a SNOW DAY.

It's kind of nice, actually. The ground is covered with a layer of white snow and I headed off to school before they called it, so I stopped at PJ's instead and got myself a nice cafe au lait and a blueberry scone.

My plans for the day include cleaning my room, getting some writing done, and some gratuitous playing in the snow. *grins*

At least you got a day off. We didn't get any snow that stuck on the ground, but there was ice on some of the freeways that messed up traffic this morning. It wasn't anything that affected me personally. Most people don't get that it snows so rarely here that the highway department doesn't have any resources to do anything about ice on the roads except for to throw some sand down.

Aww. *hugs* That sucks. *lobs a snowball from LA* Snow is so rare here that pretty much the whole city shuts down. Though if it didn't stick to the ground, I'll probably be out chasing second-graders around right now.
