Drabbles, anyone?
Jan. 23rd, 2011 12:31 amTrying to keep this writing thing going, so here goes:
Give me an emotion, an object, and a character/pairing, and I'll write you a drabble. (Fandoms: Sherlock, SGA, Good Omens, Nero Wolfe).

John/Sherlock, Like A Wave Unfurled
Date: 2011-02-06 05:59 am (UTC)Instead, he finds himself thinking about the knife. Kitchen knives can be quite sharp - and John was a surgeon, and a very capable one at that. He could cut so finely that Sherlock wouldn't feel the pain until the wound was deep, already bleeding for a time. Then, the pain would spread, like a wave unfurled - and John's hands wouldn't shake at all.

Date: 2011-01-23 03:39 pm (UTC)I will be fair. I will make no further mention of Sherlock.

Date: 2011-02-03 03:48 am (UTC)Mycroft, Sherlock, Generosity
Date: 2011-02-07 04:02 am (UTC)"Earl Grey, brother dear," he said. Sherlock's eyes narrowed. "He must mean quite a lot to you, then."
"It could have been coffee," Sherlock said.
"Ah, but we both know you can't afford that sort of, shall we say, declaration?" He closes his eyes. Really, he must thank John Watson for stocking Sherlock's cupboards with such drinkable tea. "Not right now."
Sherlock says nothing, which is a good as a sign of surrender as anything else. Pity that Mycroft is after bigger bait, today. He pushes the files across the table. "You have 72 hours." Twelve more hours than Sherlock thinks he needs, and six more than he'll actually need. "Give me a preliminary report at 36 hours, and I'll let you speak to him." Really, Mycroft is the soul of generosity.
Sherlock takes a single, shuddering breath, and nods.
After all, his brother has already given him everything he wanted to know.
