I am so happy that you are writing a story for me! Really, anything in the fandoms I requests will make me awesomely happy. Optional details are indeed optional! But if you want more details than what I put in my requests, here goes:
Though I love relationship fic, I tend to skim past the sex scenes, so more character-building/word-building/plot and less porn is the way to my heart. Though as Dinosaur Comics noted, KISSING IS AWESOME. Especially if it's between Nicolas and Phillip in the Point series.
Also! I love backstories, future! stories, and anything that takes place in the gaps in the narrative. I'll also happily read anything from angst to fluff, but I prefer hopeful or happy endings.
If we matched on the Dar Williams song, I'll just let you know that I love her music and that song in particular. Truly, anything would be wonderful.
My major squick is characters in embarrassing situations - I just cannot deal. Other than that, just stay away from necrophilia and I'm good.

The Points series
Basically, anything with these two would be wonderful, but I'll really like to see something between the two books. Particularly, how does their relationship develop? More worldbuilding and/or a case would be a delightful bonus!
Maybe This Time
I would love to see anything that happens after the book, particularly involving Andie and the kids. A new ghostly adventure would be fantastic (maybe involving Dennis), but it could also be as mundane as the kids adjusting to a new school and situation.
Da Vinci's Inquest
The women on Da Vinci's Inquest are remarkable people doing hard jobs competently. I would be thrilled with anything about any of these four characters (you do NOT have to include all of them, though, of course, you're welcome to)! Also, I lived in Vancouver for a time, so a sense of the city in the story would be wonderful.
Iowa (Travelling III)
Dar Williams is one of my favourite singer/songwriters. This song of hers seems full of yearning. The line I love best is "But I fear that to fall in love with you/Is to fall from a great and glorious height." I would truly be happy with anything you choose to do with it.
