Well, I did about as bad on the microbial genetics test as I expected. However, I can still bring my grade up, so I'm not so worried. I also dropped my biochemistry class. This means I'll have to take it in the summer and graduate in August, but if it makes me less stressed this semster, it's worth it. And I figure out why I'm so stressed over school right now - I put a lot of effort into learning how to work the Irish educational system last year, and just when I had it sorted, the Educational Gods dropped me back in the American one. Fuckers.

Since I'm comparing European and American customs anyway: If you all would be willing to do me a favour, please fill in the blank in this sentence -

I'm going back to ____ [place of residence - i.e. flat, apartment, house]

And I'll tell you why in my next post. *evil grin*

I'm going back to my/the house.

*sobs* If only! 7.30AM and in work - the world is cruel.

The world is never more cruel than at 7:30 AM. That time of day must be Crowley's. And thanks for answering my question - I was trying to figure out who says my and who says the - since my Dad told me that saying 'the' house instead of 'my' house is strictly an English/Irish thing. ^^;;;

Interesting! I suppose I'd say 'the' slightly more than 'my', especially if I'm talking to people who might be staying there or visiting for a day.

*ponders* OK...
I'm going back to Kyouto
( *Sings* take me back to Kyouto, take me back to Japan. I'm just dying to see once more tatami mats and a hardwood floor. Can you wonder I'm gloomy, can you smile when I frown? I miss the long walks, the train rides, the fresh bread, and the arcades ^^;; so take me back to Kyouto, that dear old lovely town ...) - no I don't rip off Cole Porter much...
