In Athens! amai and I had a lovely trip up. She did most of the driving, for which I was very grateful. We stopped in Troy for dinner and then we went to Best Buy. She actualy bought something she needed, i.e. a phone, and I, um, bought the season 3/4 DVDs of due South. *sweatdrops* I shouldn't be really spending the money - but, hey, CKR! How could I not?

We stayed the night in a hotel and movd her stuff into her dorm the next day. Her new room doesn't have AC! I must have sweated off five pounds getting the stuff up. But she's safe and sound at Agnes now (with a fan!), so that's good. I, on the other hand, had a hellish drive up to Athens in the torrential rain. I arrived in bejiin's new neightborhood to find that it had been turned into frat heaven (it being Bid Day apparently) and what should been a five-minute drive into a fort-five minute one. And I got lost. Twice.

But I arrived safely enough and we went to eat at the Taco Stand (second Mexican place for the day, cause me and amai had a last lunch at the Raging Burrito) and then we had some Mike's Hard Lemonade - mmmhmmm - and I played FFXI while bejiin studied biochem. ^^

No A/C???

What is the hell is up with that? I wouldn't stay anywhere in the South without air conditioning. It's ridiculous that in this day and age there would be dorm rooms without a/c.

Apparently, when they last renovated it, they did it on the cheap and said, well, there was no A/C in 1900, so why would you need it now? *sweatdrops* Ironically enough, Cat's first-year dorm had A/C.

So much for fancy private liberal college!
