So I'm in a much better mood today. *Finally* caught up on my sleep and made a few decisions. I'm going to try to do the Gaiman project instead of Yeats, but keep Yeats as a back-up in case I can't convince anyone to be my advisor on Gaiman. Thanks to everyone who filled out the poll; y'all really made me feel better about the whole thing. And I'm also dropping my modernism class and taking Old Icelandic Language and Literature instead - it looks *very* interesting and the prof is very nice.
I hope everyone come though Rita safe and sound. Again, it looks like BR will be spared the worst, but I'm worried for Texas. *hugs flist people in affected areas* In light of the oncoming storm, I think this is an important read. Molly Ivins talks about Katrina and you and why keeping track of govermental decisions/follies is important - it's not about politics, it's about *lives*.
