I made cookies! I've been making revised brownie-mix recipe brownies for a while now, but this is the first time I've properly baked in the new apartment. The first batch were a bit burned, but then I figured out that this oven is incredibly fast, so the later batches look better (and taste good too!). I'm going to take some to the Halloween party tomorrow and leave the rest for my roomies. I'm thinking of bringing some to my critical theory class on Tuesday, since my Old Icelandic class got the benefits of brownies last week, but I'm not sure.

Oh! And I also found my ankh, so I'm going to go as Death from the Sandman for the party. Pretty skirt, silver jewerly, and black eyeliner: What else could an anthomorphic representation of death ask for? *g*

Finally, I think I'm going to sign up for sga_santa, making it three holiday projects in total. Am I completely mad?

Heh. Death is my "standby" costume for whenever I can't think of anything. Save the ankh I used to use broke. :(

Once, we had enough people who looked the parts, we actually had all 7 Endless (and Merv Pumpkinhead).

*grins* bejiin had a mad scientist party last year, so I was mad scientist Death for that - ankh draw on my chest and lab coat. Ironically, I was the geneticist in the group, so Death was going about studying life. *g*

Aww. My ankh was a present from my little sister. She spent a summer at St. Anne's in Nova Scotia and told me over the phone she had bought me an ankh. Except I heard "annex", and I was like, "You bought me an annex? How are you going to get that home?" *g*

The ankh was actually something I borrowed from a friend - with the costume and my height, it looked the perfect size. Unfortunately, it literally broke in his hands several months later.

Except I heard "annex", and I was like, "You bought me an annex? How are you going to get that home?" *g*
