He says they were called 'portables' before they were laptops because they weighed about 25 pounds. They had a 3 inch green screen - ? - and were first put out by Compaq. I think he said some more geek stuff, but I'm afraid I tuned him out. He's only my husband after all.
However, he would be a great resource. I understand he was actually alive at the beginning of this 'computer' revolution.
*laughs* I'm interested in the dates when they first appeared, and if the millitary would have had access to them before people at universities and whatnot. *giggles at 'portables'*
